Genuine Music respects copyright and expects users to do the same. If you believe material on Genuine Sync infringes your copyright, you can send us a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). All music on Genuine Sync is original, human-made work by Genuine Music.

What to include in a notice

1. Your physical or electronic signature (or that of a person authorized to act for the copyright owner).
2. The copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
3. The material on Genuine Sync you believe infringes it, with enough detail for us to find it (for example the track name or page link).
4. Your name, address, phone number and email address.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

What happens next

When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the material and, where we can, tell the person who provided it. Making a false claim can make you liable for damages.

Counter-notice

If material you provided was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to our copyright agent with: your signature; the material removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and phone number with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the US, any district where we may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright, where appropriate.

Platform claims on a licensed video

This page is for reporting infringement on Genuine Sync. If a platform has placed a claim on your own video that uses a track you licensed from us, email john@genuinemusic.tv with the video link and your license ID and we will help clear it.
